Unfolding is a collection of five hand-drawn rose studies that explore the transformation of roses from bud to full bloom. Each piece: Emergence, Grace, Flourish, Radiance and Abundance captures a distinct stage, focusing on the changing forms and textures that define the rose over time. Drawn from observation in Sacramento’s State Capitol Park Rose Garden and New York’s Central Park. The collection brings together studies created across different places and moments. Each illustration begins as a detailed black and white drawing, with soft, neutral backgrounds added digitally to create contrast and a calm, contemporary finish.
