In 2018, she moved to the United States, living in both San Francisco and Boston. The dramatic shift in landscapes, from coastlines and lakes to deserts, canyons, and mountains-deepened her connection to nature and continues to inspire the organic forms and quiet storytelling present in her work.

Emily studied Interior Design and Textile Design, disciplines that strengthened her understanding of composition and surface pattern.
